What is CBD?
What is CBD? And do they work? In this article, we answer the questions of what, how and why.
CBD, or cannabidiol, is a naturally occurring compound found in hemp that is increasingly being studied for its potential benefits to human well-being. In today’s world, where we face stress and tension daily, CBD hemp oil may help support the body’s balance and overall wellness.
Our bodies have an endocannabinoid system (ECS), which is responsible for key functions such as sleep quality, hormonal balance, immune and nervous system activity, digestion, and circulation. To optimally support this system, the body naturally produces endocannabinoids. CBD oil, extracted from hemp, contains phytocannabinoids that may help support the ECS, and some users report that it helps them relax, sleep better, and feel improved overall.
Due to its structure, CBD can easily interact with our bodies and support the maintenance of natural balance. Looking for a reliable and natural solution? Buying CBD hemp oil from Hempo is a great way to take care of your health and well-being.

1. The reason you want to use CBD oil
This will determine what strength of CBD oil you should buy and how many drops to take.
2. The quality and origin of ingredients
It’s best to choose plant-based CBD derived from organically grown, high-quality hemp varieties.
3. THC content in the product
It should not exceed 0.2%.
4. Third-party testing
A certificate from an independent laboratory ensures the product’s safety and quality.
5. Seller transparency
If the seller provides product analysis certificates, it’s worth reviewing them to confirm that the CBD and other compound levels match what's stated on the label.
The high quality and effectiveness of CBD oil depend on two key factors. The first is that CBD hemp oil must be extracted from specialized industrial hemp varieties with a carefully developed genetic profile, allowing the plants to produce high levels of CBD, other cannabinoids, and terpenes. The second is a properly chosen extraction method that allows these compounds to be extracted without being damaged.
Hempo CBD hemp oil is produced using a two-phase CO₂ extraction method. First, a subcritical CO₂ extraction is performed, which captures delicate terpenes while preserving their structure and properties. In the second stage, a supercritical CO₂ extraction is used - considered one of the most effective methods for extracting cannabinoids.
High CBD product quality is one of the main goals of the Hempo team. We pursue it regardless of the complexity of the production process, because it allows us to create products that stand out in the market for their quality and effectiveness.

CBD oil is world known for its benefits to human health and well-being. In this article, take a look at 7 of these benefits that was proven by scientific research.
Learn the key differences between CBD oil types and their effectiveness
When choosing CBD oil, it's important to consider not only the percentage concentration but also how many milligrams of CBD are consumed per day. Different strengths of oil contain different amounts of CBD per drop:
5% CBD oil: ~2.5 mg of CBD
10% CBD oil: ~5 mg of CBD
15% CBD oil: ~7.5 mg of CBD
20% CBD oil: ~10 mg of CBD
30% CBD oil: ~15 mg of CBD
CBD intake needs can vary depending on individual factors, so it’s often recommended to start with a lower amount while observing how your body responds. Choosing a higher concentration oil allows you to reach your desired dosage with fewer drops.
It is always recommended to consult with a healthcare professional regarding the appropriate dosage.
CBD, or cannabidiol, is a molecule found in the hemp plant that has been shown to be beneficial to the human body in numerous scientific studies. Discovered in 1940 and is widely studied in the scientific community to this day. CBD oil is used in cosmetics, nutritional supplements and even medicine.
Although extracted from hemp, CBD oil has no psychotropic effects. This material is legal in many countries, including Lithuania.
CBD oil has a very wide range of uses, starting from cosmetics that can help treat dry skin, acne, signs of aging, and strengthen the condition of nails and hair. CBD oil is used in many countries of the world as a food supplement and is valued for its calming properties - it can improve sleep disorders (its quality), reduce anxiety or even depression. However, it is important to note that in Lithuania cannabidiol is classified as a "novel food", therefore Hemp CBD oil must be used as indicated on the package.
Yes. According to the amendments to the Law on Industrial Hemp of the Republic of Lithuania (No. XII-336), the sale and use of CBD oil is permitted. However, it's important to note that these products must not contain more than 0.2% of the psychoactive substance tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). You can find the laboratory test results of our products here.
We recommend using it regularly, dropping the amount of drops indicated in the product description on the chosen place, 2 times a day (morning and evening), shaking before use. Please note that we all have different desired effects and tolerance levels for different concentrations of CBD products, so we suggest starting with the lowest recommended amount and gradually increasing it if needed, but do not exceed 200 mg of CBD per day.
Keep in mind that if you are using CBD for the first time, you may not feel the effect immediately, - your endocannabinoid receptors need to adapt to phytocannabinoids (CBD), this may take up to several days.
Many clinical studies have proven that CBD oil is safe to use, but it is no secret that everyone's body is different and although it is very unlikely, minor side effects may occur, e.g. reddening of the skin, in which case we recommend discontinuing use and consulting a family physician before continuing CBD use.
It should also be noted that the World Anti-Doping Agency has added cannabidiol (CBD) to the list of substances allowed for use by athletes.
This type of CBD oil features a broad composition of cannabinoids (CBD, CBG, CBN, etc.), and may also retain terpenes and flavonoids. Full-spectrum extracts are often considered one of the more effective forms due to the so-called “Entourage Effect”. It is believed that the interaction between different compounds can enhance their overall effect.
Broad-spectrum CBD oil does not have a standardized composition – it may be an extract that retains several or more different compounds from the hemp plant, including cannabinoids and terpenes, but with THC removed.
In Hempo’s broad-spectrum CBD oil, a significant portion of the plant’s phytocannabinoids and terpenes is preserved, but THC is absent (undetectable according to third-party lab tests).
No, these are two different products. Hemp seed oil is extracted from hemp seeds and is most commonly used in cooking – it is valued for its content of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids.
CBD oil, on the other hand, is extracted from the flowers and leaves of the hemp plant and contains phytocannabinoids, such as CBD.
These oils differ in both origin and purpose. You can learn more about CBD oil and its properties in this article.
